✨ A historic milestone for Alliance Française Bahrain On 18 June 2026, the Kingdom of Bahrain and France celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of the future headquarters of Alliance Française Bahrain in Adliya.
Held in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, H.E. Eric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of France to the Kingdom of Bahrain, French Senators Mr. Rémy Pointereau, Mr. Olivier Cadic and Ms. Nathalie Delattre, Mr. Ahmed Al Jawahery, President of Alliance Française Bahrain, as well as representatives of Bahraini authorities and institutional and private partners, this symbolic event marked a new chapter in the cultural and educational cooperation between Bahrain and France.
Designed by French architect Pierre Sfeir and implemented by the Ministry of Works, the future Alliance Française Bahrain will provide a modern space dedicated to French language teaching, linguistic certification, cultural activities, and intercultural dialogue, further promoting Francophonie in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This project would not have been possible without the support and commitment of our esteemed partners from the Government of Bahrain, the Embassy of France to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and SA Atelier. We extend our sincere gratitude to our valued sponsors: Chalhoub Group, BNP Paribas, Fives, and Les Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France (CCEF), for their trust and contribution to this ambitious project. We would also like to warmly thank Saraya Contractors, Red Scarf, Baked By E, Café Ségo, and Zeus Trading & Contracting for their valuable support in helping make the groundbreaking ceremony a success. Together, we are building more than a building, we are building bridges between cultures, languages, and people.
